Extended testing and scale-up to pre-manufacturing

To convert scientific outputs into safe, accessible, and high-value products, we have advanced—following laboratory validations—to extended testing and scale-up to pre-manufacturing. In this context, prototype development for UV-protective biomolecules, biostimulants, and phycobiliproteins is progressing in parallel. In pilot batches, yield and purity are being verified; line setups, the process window, and batch-to-batch traceability are being defined. To bring product performance into real-world use, plans for formulation compatibility, packaging–storage behavior, and shelf-life monitoring are in place.

Preparatory work for regulatory analyses is underway; the skeleton of compliance dossiers aligned with relevant standards is being assembled, covering photostability, safety/skin compatibility, and basic toxicology. This data package is designed to feed the required application processes in food, agriculture, and cosmetics. In parallel, an intellectual property strategy has been shaped; prior-art searches, draft titles, and a filing timeline have been planned (with confidentiality and material transfer frameworks applied where necessary).

To broaden impact, consortium building and pre-proposal preparation for EU calls are ongoing; within Türkiye, joint industrial pilots, sample evaluations, and supply logistics setups are being planned. The overall aim is the commercialization of safe, compliant, and market-ready final products suitable for food and cosmetics applications.
